Making Money With A Search Site

You could create your own search engine site, and use that to generate affiliate commissions:

Using Searchfeed

One method of creating a search site is to use the Searchfeed affiliate program. Searchfeed provides a lot of different linking options, but one of the options is an XML datafeed which allows you to retrieve (and display on your site) the paid listings for whatever search the user enters. In order to display these listings on your site, you will need some kind of script to get this data and show it.

Additionally, there are various scripts available that could potentially allow you to start your own search engine web site (and perhaps even sell listings in the results yourself). However, it also "back fills" the listings (if you don't have enough sold listings or simply don't want to bother selling listings yourself) with results from other search engines - including Searchfeed.

Specialist Searches and Portals

You could also consider creating specialist search or portal sites based on other affiliate program content (perhaps specializing in a particular topic look books, downloads, software, posters, etc.).

For example:
  • You could create a search/portal site based on data from the Amazon.com Associate program or other affiliate programs which provide you with content or data that you can use on your site. You might find Cusimano CGI scripts helpful for this kind of site.

  • You could create a search/portal site based on data from the ClickBank affiliate program. You could our company's CBRocket PHP Script for this.

  • You could create a search/portal site for posters using the AllPosters affiliate program. You could use Cusimano CGI scripts for this.

  • If you check out Cusimano . Look at the scripts they offer, and the affiliate programs they work with, and see if they inspire any ideas.
